Tree Removal - Tree Service
Hiring a tree service can be one of your best options to remove a tree . They can do in a short period of time what it can take you a very long time to do. The process can be one of several ways.
- The first way is to take the tree down in sections, starting at the top. A climber will use a safety harness and a rope to climb to the top of the tree and will use a chainsaw to cut down approximately two-foot sections (in residential areas) or larger sections, where there is more space for the trunk sections to fall. The will continue to cut down the tree, working their way down to the base of the trunk. When down to the stump, they will more than likely use a stump grinder to remove the rest of the remaining tree.
Tree services will offer wood chipping for an additional fee, or may carry off the trunk sections. Each service varies on what they offer. - The second way is to simply remove the tree by cutting it down with a chainsaw, provided there is a safe area for the trunk to fall.
